Cobb Middle School will embark on a 6-day trip to our nation's capital, Washington DC, the week of March 8th - 13th, 2026.  We hope you will be able to join us!

-5:00AM Astro motorcoaches depart School

-Make appropriate stops including bag lunch stop (all other meals are provided)

-6:00PM Fast food dinner in Roanoke Rapids, NC

-Check in to Holiday Inn Express in Woodbridge, VA.

Tuesday 3/10:

-Breakfast at Hotel

-Group Photo at the Grant Memorial: Keepsake photo for all attending the trip 

-Tour the US Capitol Building: Home of the US Senate and House of Representatives- Lunch in the Capitol Café

-Tour the Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum

-City/Memorials Touring

-Dinner/Dance Cruise on the Potomac

Wednesday 3/11:

-Breakfast at Hotel

-Tour Mount Vernon- Home of George and Martha Washington 

-Box lunch delivered to Mt. Vernon- City/Memorials Touring

-Tour the US Holocaust Memorial Museum

-City/Memorials Touring

-Tour the National Archives- View the original Charters of Freedom

-City/Memorials Touring

-Dinner at BlackFinn

Thursday 3/12:

-Breakfast at Hotel

-Tour Arlington National Cemetery: Tomb of the unknown soldier, changing of the guard, Kennedy gravesites -City/Memorials Touring 

-Lunch at local area food court

-Tour the Washington National Cathedral

-Tour the National Gallery of Art

-City/Memorials Touring

-Tour the International Spy Museum

-City/Memorials Touring- National Portrait Gallery

-Dinner at Springfield Mall food court

Friday 3/13:

-Breakfast at Hotel. Load luggage/check out

-Tour the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History 

-Lunch in Museum Café or at local food trucks

- Tour the Smithsonian Museum of American History

-Tour the National African American Museum of History & Culture

-Depart Washington DC

-Dinner at Golden Corral in Fredericksburg, VA 

-Continue travel through the night w/appropriate stops enroute

Saturday 3/14

-8:30AM Arrive at School
