On November 17, 2026, Ocali Charter's 8th grade students will travel as a group and will embark on a 1 day motor coach trip to St. Augustine, our Nation's Oldest City.

6:30am Depart via luxury motor coaches from Ocali Charter Middle School and travel to the Nation's oldest city St. Augustine, FL . They will meet their guides and have a bathroom break at their first site. The rest of the day they will spend touring the beautiful and historic city of St. Augustine. Lunch will be provided during the tour day and a catered boxed dinner before departing.
Tour Sites to be visited:
Explore Castillo de San Marcos - Explore an exterior tour of the Castillo de San Marcos (the Old Fort), the oldest masonry fort in the US; Visit and explore St. Augustine’s Fountain of Youth, the area first explored by Juan Ponce de Leon, for informative and entertaining activities; Visit & tour the Old Jail, where you will time travel with inmates from the past, hear harrowing prison tales, and much more; Enjoy a narrated Red Train Sightseeing Tour of historic St. Augustine, where you will encounter over 430 years of European and American History; Historic Flagler College for a College Readiness Tour; Visit and tour the Pirate & Treasure Museum, where you will be transported back in time over 300 years with interactive and educational activities and lastly, Visit and tour the Spanish Military Hospital Museum where you will learn firsthand of the advanced medical practices of the Spanish in Colonial St. Augustine. The group will have a chance for some free time or brief shopping on historic St. George Street.
